Requesting a Quotation

Before you order your new lease vehicle Lease Profiles Limited will supply you with a full written lease quotation. Quotations are supplied free of charge and can be for any make or model of vehicle on sale in the UK. We will look at suitable vehicles that match your requirements; some vehicles have extra discounts which make up the special offers you may see available on our website. These vehicles are usually in stock and can be supplied quickly. Being affiliated directly to one of the UK’s largest independent and personally owned contract hire and leasing companies and by being connected to manufacture own finance providers we will produce the most competitive quote for the particular vehicle you have enquired about.

Some of our funders and some special offers are only available to business users, however these will normally be clearly marked on our website.

We aim to provide all the necessary information within our quotations so you are equipped with all the information you need to make an informed decision before you place your order.

Placing Your Order

If you would like to order a vehicle through us we will ask you for your current address and your landline telephone number. We will then email you a vehicle order form, credit proposal and data protection form. Once you have printed these and completed the relevant sections you can either scan and email or fax them back to us.

It is important that you complete all the fields that apply on the finance proposal form and that the information you provide in this form is truthful and accurate.

We will also require a proof of identity (and signature) along with two recent separate proofs of address in the form of utility bills or bank statements. Sometimes proof of income is also required in the form of you last 3 months' bank statements or payslips. All of these documents must be in their original form from the issuing company – online banking system printouts are not usually acceptable unless they have been stamped as authentic in branch.

Where proofs of identity are required a colour scan is usually much clearer than a faxed copy.

Limited companies will be required to provide proof of identity for two directors along with a recent proof of address. It is helpful if these directors are listed on the electoral roll under their current address. If a limited company has no accounts filed with companies house or the latest set are overdue it can severely hinder your application, some finance companies will refuse credit on this basis alone until this is rectified.

Finance application

Once you have submitted the above information we will pass these details to the credit underwriting department of the finance company we are using. They will use the information supplied, together with a credit check, information filed with company’s house and also on the electoral roll to make a decision. As part of the application you will sign a data protection notification.

Lease Profiles Limited is a registered data handler with the information commissioner’s office – you can rest assured that your personal information will be cared for and protected. Your information will only be used to provide the underwriters with the information they need to make their decision to grant the lease.

Deposit

Lease Profiles Limited generally will not require a deposit. Your first and only payments will be made directly to the finance company, generally shortly after your vehicle has been delivered by direct debit. Please note if you are ordering a very high specification or unusual vehicle our supplies may ask a deposit be paid directly to them but you will be informed of this before the vehicle is ordered.

Documentation Fees

Lease Profiles Limited do not charge a documentation fee or have any set up charges on the contracts they provide. The price you are quoted is the price you pay, with no surprises further down the line. Be sure when you are comparing quotations you ask our competitors what charges they have, every £100 charged is effectively another £2.63 per month on your 36 month contract.

Order vehicle

We will then order the vehicle with our suppliers. If it is a stock vehicle it will be reserved until delivery. If the vehicle will need to be built it will be ordered with the manufacturer and we will give you an estimate of when the vehicle should be built. We will also provide weekly updates regarding your order so you will never feel in the dark.

Finance Documents

The finance agreement is prepared and sent out to you by email or occasionally can be sent by post if there is a particular rush for the vehicle.

The areas of the finance documents that you need to sign will be clearly marked. It is important that the signatures on these match those on your proof(s) of identity.

In the case of a limited company it is also important that these are signed by a director, and preferably one that we have received proofs of identity from.

Initial rental

The initial rental is generally paid by direct debit and is taken shortly after delivery so we do not have to take any money from you. There are some finance providers that do require the initial rental prior to delivery and were this is the case you will be able to pay by cheque or by BACs/CHAPs bank transfer. Cheques take longer to clear and to be processed by our admin team, so we would recommend paying initial rental by BACs or CHAPs where at all possible. These payments can be arranged via internet banking systems, telephone banking or in branch. Most banks will not charge for BACs payments, however they may make a charge of between £10 and £25 for a same-day CHAPs transfer.

If you are in a particular hurry for your vehicle a CHAPs transfer is best as it can bring the delivery date forward by 2-3days.

Due to legal reasons we cannot accept initial rental by credit/debit card.

Authority to Deliver

Once we receive your completed finance documents back we will check them for any errors and pass them on to the finance company for the final check We will then book delivery of the vehicle on a date that is convenient for you (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm) and inform you of the registration number so you are able to arrange insurance. Deliveries are usually booked for around 5 working days in advance with the exception of very busy periods when it may be a little longer.

Delivery

The vehicle will usually be driven or carried on a transporter to you, however any mileage accrued here will not be deducted from you annual allowance and will be recorded on the vehicle delivery note.

Deliveries are usually Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, however sometimes a vehicle may arrive earlier in the morning unless otherwise requested. We can usually tailor deliveries to a convenient time i.e. AM or PM. We deliver to most UK destinations free of charge although sometimes there may be a nominal fee for deliveries in Northern Scotland with some manufactures.

We will always notify you of any charge before you order the vehicle. Delivery to Northern Ireland or other British Islands can be arranged although we would normally ask for the vehicle to be collected by the customer from a mainland port. It will also be the customer’s responsibility to return the vehicle to the mainland at the end of the contract.
